Do you have any idea where you need to live for the next five years of your life? A break of one or two years is essential to gain the outlook. If all you need to know is an academic surrounding, how can you differentiate it with anything else? A lot of people consider doing a job for five or more years before returning to get a PhD.<\/p>\n<p>It is right though that the more time you stay out of school, more difficult it is to go back to an academic surrounding with less pay and a deficiency of set work hours.
